What headlights do i really have on my "2007 Dream Machine" ?

Well some have Halogens and some have HIDs. Which do you have? Do you have fog lights. Im pretty sure if you have fog lights then you have HIDs.

Once you buy the headlight it is VERY simple to change the bulbs on your own. The only tool I'd suggest using would be a small pocket mirror to see the locking springs. Like posted above if you have fog lights then you have HID, D4R bulbs. Here is a bulb from Amazon.com which will cost you approx $55.00/bulb. Take a look at this video, self explanatory.

Also, read the owner's manual. Your car should use 5W-30 oil that is rated at SM and ISLAC on the label. SL is the older rating, and I doubt you will find that today. SM is what is being marketed now, but make sure you get the right stuff. There are a lot of different oil's out there today.

Don't overfill the crankcase! 3.9 Quarts MAX. 3.5 Qts. should work fine with a filter change. Use a Toyota oil filter and don't forget to change the aluminum washer on the drain plug. You can buy the filter and the washer at your local Toyota dealer. If you can afford it, use synthetic oil. Mobil 1 is recommended for best MPG and longevity. When checking the oil, pull the dipstick while the engine is off and the car is parked on a level surface. Wipe the dipstick clean and then reinsert the dipstick back into the engine until it bottoms out completely. Then pull it out and read it. You want the oil to be between the two marks on the dipstick. It does not have to be completely full, just between the marks. Again, do not overfill it, as that will create problems.

Floor Jack
14MM wrench
Oil Filter wrench (small one or the hex one in the video)
Oil Drain Pan

You should be happy you have HID's. Who cares about the price of bulbs once every few years. They illuminate the road 100% better then halogens.

 

The only reason to remove the bumper is if you charge by the hour for labor. The owner's manual shows how to change your bulbs. To be honest I watched this video

and the follow up and was able to change the bulb on my own. It took me about 40minutes to do mainly because I treid to do the job w/o watching the video 1st.
