What does the slot under the left air vent do?

Credit card or similar card holder... some like it, I think it's a waste of space. A change or misc drawer would have been nice

 

I actually would have preferred a cup holder like exists on the passenger side. I had a Mitsubishi Outlander that had the cup holder and it was incredibly nice to help keep a drink cool.

I do. It holds my corporate badge during the week.

 

I can see where this card slot would be a convenient feature for parking garages, etc. as noted above. However, I'd think any card left in that slot when the car was unattended might attract the wrong kind of attention from some miscreant.

But that's just me.

You might just have to wait a little bit. I don't recall the mud guards on the v being available at launch. Can anyone confirm?

 

Yes, I'm missing a place for my shopping cart rental quarter, so a change holder of some kind or even just a little cubby would have been nice.

I actually use the little tray inside the armrest to hold my quarters. It won't hold a ton, but plenty for parking meters around here.

 

I tried that, but I need like a rubbery mat or something, they slide around and it's beyond obnoxious

 

I use mine to store all those shopper points cards and grab the one I need in the parking lot rather than filling up my wallet waiting on the rare chance to visit Walgreens or etc.
