There is a maintance required error. My best guess is that it is saying I need an oil change since it was driven a lot of miles. It has not even been 5,000 miles since I bought the vehicle. How do I reset this?
When you get service, they reset the counter. After 4500 miles it starts blinking at startup. After 5000 miles it stays on. When you take it back to get service, they reset it again. Usually they reset the counter. But not always, especially if one is getting service out of sync and the reminder screen is not displayed to remind them. Then they can easily forget to reset it, so next time it comes on prematurely. BTDT when I reset it myself at 5K then went in for service before 10K.
