What do you set yours at?

Prius: Depends on season, humidity, amount of sunshine (or not) that's getting into car and passenger preference.

Home: Fall, Winter, Spring thermostats set at 68F day and 60-65F night. Daytime during these cooler seasons, amount of sunshine can increase house interior temperature significantly. Summer? Sometimes 78-79F, sometimes 76. Depends a lot on activity and occupant preference at the time. Ceiling fans allow comfort at higher Summer (78-79F) settings.

 

I usually have my home set to around 74-76 depending on the day. In my car it depends much more greatly on the conditions. I usually don't set my A/C below 74, but if I have a lot of passengers I will to make sure they're comfortable.

 

In the Prius - if it is over 90 outside (which it has been for several months), then Auto at 80. Once it gets to 100 or over, I'll probably up it to 85 or so.. haven't been through a winter with it yet!
At home - in the summer, usually at 80 (with ceiling fans going!), in the winter, 65 (with the fireplace insert going!)

 

Summer: Prius - 77-81 Home - 77 day - 73 night

Winter: Prius - 68-71 (depending how thick my coat is) Home - 71 day - 65 night

 

Prius set at 75.

Home, don't have AC, just ceiling fans in every room.

 

Home: 66-68 in winter (little or no night setback since installing mini-split heat pump), Off in summer.
Car: 65 when heat is needed, 76-78 when cooling is needed, LO the rest of the time.

Summer -- Prius: 75 (higher if it's hotter) / home: off

Winter -- Prius: 69 - 71 (depending on my coat) / home: 69-ish.

 

In the car: 78F or so (adjusted a lot) if A/C in use, LO most of the time, heat at minimum needed
At home: 82F or so with fans on if A/C in use, windows open when possible, heat at about 60F or so (gives a nice boost in electronics performance).
At work: Set to 73F (as measured at temperature probe points) year round by lab manager. Actual temperature at desk closer to 78F due to heat from equipment.

 

I generally do not use the A/C unless it is over 100F. I do not use the heater unless the windows are fogging up.

When I HAVE to use the A/C because my girlfriend is in the car I set it to 75/78F depending on what she finds comfortable. I pretty much give up on fuel efficiency when she is riding in the car and just try to keep her happy. My mpg average usually drops by 5mpg or more due to speed and A/C use. lol

 

Home: Summer 72F -- Winter 74F
Prius: Summer Cold -- Winter she is stored at 40F in our garage until spring

I live in the valley of the sun (phoenix metro).
Summers are brutal.

Prius: My AC I just use the up and down button leaving it on 75. I don't think I have it on auto though.
Winters are mild here. I just use it early in the morning mostly. I just turn it up to high and put the up and down vent button on the lowest setting after it warms up.

Home: Try to keep at as high as possible and try to be comfortable with 80, when i go to bed i need to drop it to 77-78. Winter it gets very cold in my unit so around 72-73 is comfortable. Leaving it in the 60s is just too cold for me but at night aside from a few cold weeks in Dec and possibly January, I turn my heat off.

My home is not airconditioned, but the heat is set at 70 daytime and is off at night.
I live in Southern California near the beach.

 

A/C on, closed system, 70 degrees, never touch it.

 

House: 76 A/C (this year, I'm at 75 because I'm starting home brewing) and 68 Winter
Car: A/C fluctuates between 74-80 depending upon situation. Heat? What's that? Usually 68, but only if others are in the car or it's a long trip or conditions make it necessary. Otherwise, it's off.
