what do brown arrows on the energy monitor mean?

    I took the car in to an ind mechanic I use regularly and no warning light are coming on and nothing showed on the scanner.What is wrong? tthere are no lines at all cing to (don't know if that is the engine or not) icon in upper right corner

    wont be able to get pictures as they come on when moving and are constantly changing there is no line or it goes brwon from engine icon to the battery but others are green and or occasionally brown

    I don't know I the car shook the other night and sounded like it was going to stall but I cant be too careful as I am an uber and lyft driver and car has to be I great shape-never mind my safety Bad gasoline?

    maybe, but that wouldn't change the color of the lines. how is it running now?

    By brown, could you possibly mean the orange arrows (they only come from the engine and may either go to the wheels or go to the battery via or both via the electric motor)

    I guess they are orange then but since I bought the car they have always been green ...no arrow from the engine to the electric motor then sometimes go orange then go back to green but no line/arrow at all from the engine to the EM at all Not normal

    .I have not heard back fromt he cr place and they habe had it most of th day so we are looking till tomorrow a least
    After looking at that video my biggest problem is there is no arrow going to the electric motor at all

    i think you are misremembering, and possibly overly concerned. no matter what goes wrong with the car, the energy arrows are not a diagnostic tool.
    it may or may not be that you have a screen problem.

    if your mpg's haven't changed, everything else is working fine.

    Rack and Pinion aka steering rack problem according to my mechanic but they said only the dealer can do that is that true?I cant afford the cost at the toyota dealer
    also heels were out of alignment so am having them fix that today

    neither has anything to do with the energy display. not sure why the steering rack would have a problem, did you hit anything?

    how many miles on her?

    well themonitor that shows poer going to the wheels and the hybrid battery.at any rate I don't believe that only the dealer can do the elctircal part of the r ND P AND I WAS READING THAT SOMETHING CALLED TH ETIE RODS COULD CAUSE ASIMLAR SOUND..OH WELL I CLL CAL AROUND MONDay
