What color to buy.. the decision is killing me

One way to look at it is that if you can't decide between the two, then flip a coin

If you strongly preferred one of the colors, then you would have already made up you mind.

My preference is the silver, it goes well with the contours of the car's body.

 

Red.

While I do like the pearl white, it didn't do much for me in person. Others have seen the white in person and loved it. The candy apple red that is Barcelona Red Metallic is fantastic looking. I love my Red Prius and would get the same color again.

 

Don't buy white. It makes my 2010 white Prius more exclusive.

 

If you are limiting yourself to red or white, I'd go with white. I'm not a big white car fan, but the pearl white looks nice, and will be much less high maintenance than red.

 

You live in Mexico ? Then stay away from the black interior. Don't worry about the exterior.

Having purchased a white prius, I wish I'd gotten red. The contours of the car get a little lost with white paint. The car looks blander.

I think silver, while in my opinion a very generic and common color for this car, accentuates the contours nicely like xs650 says -- as does red.

 

Common is right. I had to think about that for awhile before I decided on silver. Where I live silver Prii are as common as Taco carts in downtown Mexico City. In Mexico though, a silver Prius would still be an unusual car.

 

I chose white over the red because the red looks a bit washed out to me when I saw it. I orginally wanted red but it just seemed bland in person with not much depth. The blizzard white was much vibrant and had more depth.

No way would I want the same color car as my spouse. Just from reading your original post I think you should go with red. It seems to me that's really what you want. I love my BP but the red is gorgeous too. And don't get me started on the blue......

 

Red rules! I love the color and would not have it any other way...

 

All three of our cars are white, it makes the garage so... monochrome!

Depends on what model you are buying. If you're buying the base model without sun roof I'd go with the red. Total white seems a little bland, especially you said your wife has a white car aready. BUT...

If you're buying the Prius with sun roof and solar panel, get the white. It looks completely different with white sides and dark roof (from front to rear). It looks very futuristic like a car in SiFi movies. If you dark tint the windows too it'll be even more gorgeous.

I love mine so much I almost want to sleep in the car, except for the fact that the garbage bin is also in the garage!

You can still drive the Prius "WHOA BADASS!!" like in PWR mode. The GenIII Prius' acceleration is nothing to sneer at if you really step on it.

I just hurriedly took a picture of my Pearl Prius with dark glass roof. See if you like the look?

 

i would vote red. mainly because the white one costs more and i pretty much refuse to pay for paint color. maybe it's not like that in mexico, but here, it's like another 250 dollars for white. i also think the red is pretty. it was my second choice behind the blue.
