Just picked up a Gen 4 2021 Prime, moving from Gen3. On the Gen3 I upgraded most bulbs to LED, had a shop install tint - then spent time wishing for upgrades but always deferred. There are a ton of threads as the Gen 4 came and went - so looking back what stands out as worthy upgrades/accessories? What accessories/upgrades are not that difficult to install or crazy expensive to purchase? KEYFOB We only got one key - so need another. Think you can get these from eBay and self program? How about the manual override key slide inside? Also, can you get different style key fob cases (ie. Lexus) that work w/well w/the same circuit board? Note, don't mean a key fob case that fits 'over' the original key fob. Notice the key fob for Gen4 is considerably larger than Gen3, both are 4 button. Can you program a Gen3 fob for Gen 4 (albeit same manual key issue.) LED I am fine with upgrading the interior lights to LED, and watched a video on the back lights. The amazing write up for the front accent lighting seemed a bit too far to go for LED (ungluing, tapping wires etc.) Before and after photos are also great to see to know the differences. TINT Last time I went w/an intro tint and it looked good (I would go light on the front seat doors next time.) The film used did start getting small pin-holes appearing about 2-3 years in. Is Ceramic worth it or would be the best bang-for-the-buck for tint? DASHCAM After the accent that claimed the Gen3 Prius, I am doubling down on a dashcam and want to install this one the 'right' way, not w/a cigarette lighter accessory or exposed wiring. There are posts on this to follow. I have two from BlackFriday to evaluate...and leaning towards the mirror rear view mirror form factor vs. a cam stuck to the window. LED ACCENTS Curious on thoughts around 'other' LED accent lighting, such as LED strips at the footwells, or something to call out turns, braking? TURN SIGNAL MIRRORS Have any of the after market kits reigned supreme on the mirrors? Think one that seemed reasonable was a cap, so mirror stays in place and you replace the cover w/an LED turn signal.
