Read this week 23Apr2011 that Washington State is getting ready to place a $100 tax on electric cars that will help replace the Road tax not being collected. What about: gas/electric hybrids like Prius ? or similar North Wester State Plans for more hydroelectric dams to offset increased electric car recharging. Texas is reviewing flat milage method.
Hi 360, Flat mileage is a rediculous method. It says that a 18 wheeler EV should pay the same as a EV motorcycle. Do not think there is a 18 wheeler EV, watch how fast that happens with a flat rate! It needs to be per KWH, or mileage with either a vehicle class or weight factor.
yea, flat mileage is a problem. I didn't think $100 was a big deal... Uh, 18 wheeler ev?? If that is all it takes to improve battery's we should have done the flat rate years ago...
No plans for additional taxes on hybrids here in Washington. While one more hydroelectric dam might be possible, the great dam building era is over. We will likely see more dams removed than added.
