Warning message

If you have lane assist on, and it warns you more than a given number of times in a set period (i.e. consistently not staying in your lane or changing without indicating), or displays that.

 

I’ve had it come up a couple times. One time I can remember was when I was really upset and evidently driving more erratic then I normally do, and it came on in several miles. The car is quite perceptive if I have my hands on the steering wheel as well as keeping it in my lane or making lots of exaggerated corrections with the wheel. I do believe the coffee cup warning can be turned off. But, I see it as a safety feature and it rarely has come on for me

If you drive too carefully with it on, does it ask if you want a beer ?

 

If you have LDA turned on and are making lots of sudden corrections to stay in your lane or the LDA is activating to try to keep you in your lane, it suggests a break. The only time it ever happened to me is in 50 mph crosswinds on the interstate.
Page 657 in the 2017 Prime manual. Probably a different page in yours. On page 194, it mentions that this symbol is displayed along with a message.

 

Close to home, my highway is rather curvy. LKA doesn't like curvy roads. The coffee cup is a reminder for me to turn LKA off. Additionally, you can disable the coffee cup warning in settings.
