Warning lights only indicate take to dealer immediately. The warning lights consist of the triangle with an exclamation point in it, the PS main battery icon, and the outline of a car with a thermometer (???) in it. I was able to reset the fuse and the computer would reset. The car usually acts up on very hot and humid days. However, the car lost all kinds of acceleration and I was lucky to get the car off the busy road and into a parking lot. I let it sit for a few hours, reset the fuse and drove home. Dealer claims I need tune up, which only consists of changing 4 spark plugs for $170, fuel injection cleaning, for $190. They refused to do the fuel injector cleaning without doing the tune up first. They also claim the radiator needs to be replaced. I told them I don't see any antifreeze in the drive, they said you won't see antifreeze on driveway, because it allegedly evaporates etc. They want $950 to change the radiator. They also claim I need a drivebelt for accessories. I don't remember how much they wanted. All I know is they wanted to gouge me for $1500 for all of the repairs. The car acted up again yesterday (6 days later from the first time mentioned above). We changed the spark plugs, they looked fine. There was no misfire in swapping the coils. The plugs are Denzo, Toyota said don't used anything else, got them from the parts dept for under $50. I used Lucas fuel injection cleaner in the gas tank. I also noticed my gas mileage is only 44mpg. During the hot summer weather, I easily get 48-52mpg. About two weeks ago I replaced the engine air filter and the cabin filter. We pulled the relays for the fans, they're in good shape, but Auto Zone has no way to test them. We got new ones, but only switched one for now, still going through process of elimination to see why the fans aren't turning on at all. The car is acting like it's overheating, even thought there's no visual signs of overheating. There's no antifreeze puddles on the drive or anywhere on the engine. We bought a manual thermostat last night and have to install it to see if the radiator really needs to be replaced or not. I'm at school and don't have the codes on me, so I'll have to put that in a later post. The dealer only gave me the code numbers and didn't tell me what they meant. I had to be persistent in telling them to explain what the codes meant. They claim poor performance, maybe something with the gas tank, (they said they weren't sure), cylinder 3 misfires. I forgot what the other was, again, I will have to post later when I have the codes on me. All I know is Pep Boys can do the fuel injection cleaners for $100; far more reasonable than the dealer. There's definitely something wrong and the car needs to be fixed. BUT you shouldn't be gouged in the process. Thanks in advance for your help!
