Are you certain you need a Hybrid inverter? On more than one occasion I've had customers tell me "the dealer says I need a new inverter can you sell me one cheaper". After they tow the car to me it's evident the inverter coolant pump failed and the inverter overheated and set a code, causing the dealer to want to replace it. In some cases I just replace the pump, clear the codes and the inverter is fine.
I had to replace mine, got one from a salvage yard for $75 with no warranty. Worked like a charm and simple to replace. TomK

The problem with locating a used inverter is a bit more difficult than other parts in that it is not listed on car-part.com. I just called around and found one that would sell me one without warranty of any kind for the $75, it was $300 with warranty. I currently looked on the website of the place I found it at and they do not have any Prius. Good luck, there are more of these cars going to salvage so you should be able to locate one. TomK
