    I've been waiting for my Prius since June 6.
    I ordered what is called Opal Green here in Norway. With colour code 6U0 I believe it is the same as Silver Pine Mica in NA. Because of tax rules here in Norway, dealers very seldom keep cars in stock, so most cars are ordered from the factory.

    This morning my dealer sent me an email with this picture:

    [attachmentid=11631]

    Now they have to do the dealer things before I can pick it up.
    I feel like a six year old on X-mas eve! :D

    I may grow older, but I guess I'll never grow up...

    Congraduation Stein on your new Prius! Is it a 2007 or 2008?
    The color is Opal green, I wonder what the "Pine Mica Silver Prius Club" forum
    will think of that name for their color? Lots of activity on that list.
    Is that the dark gray interior we see in the photo?
    Thanks for posting the photo show us the towing eyelet that screws in front bumper circle.
    I was wondering what it was used for beside for emergency towing.

    I'm so excited for you! My wait still continues, but I finally have a date! October 26th! My salesman (my dad) is on vacation the week it arrives. Doesn't that just figure? But I'll drive the 12 hours to pick it up a few days late, and maybe my parents will include a nice present from their trip to California! Is it strange to still want your parents to bring back presents from their trips when you are 40 years old? LOL!

    I hope all of us getting new cars will post pictures. Here in the Cincinnati area there aren't too many Prii on the road. It will be nice to see some pictures of "my own kind". :D

    Here is another take on waiting for your car to arrive: When I decided to purchase a Prius, there was a $1,500 tax credit and 2.9% financing that Toyota was offering on the Prius. Since I wanted to get a Touring edition, it was check out what was on the water (Toyota sends a report to its dealers of what was just shipped each Monday). The first 3 weeks were no-goes for a Touring #6 in Black with Bisque. The end of the month was fast approaching and there was no word on whether the tax credit was going to drop to $750 or the 2.9% money was going away. The Monday after the end of the month the first thing that was done was to call Toyota Financial Services to see if the 2.9% money was going away (fortunately it was extended for another 30 days); then checked the on the water report (still no luck) and the tax credit threshold hadn't been reached either. The next week, my car was on the on the water report and was delivered about 10 days later. Fortunately for me, the story ended happily; but the end of the month was a bit nerve racking.

    Congratulations on your impending delivery! I can feel your pain in waiting. I have an estimated delivery date of December 15, 2007, for my choice of colour and package.

    Take some pictures when you get it.

    I know the feeling, and I don't have to wait as long as you did. Four weeks ago, I was strucked by luck: I want a black Prius, and the only one Prius available on this side of New Year's Eve happen to be both black and to have my name on it.

    Still three weeks to wait, though.

    Besides emergency towing (e.g., when there's no tow truck, or if the car is stuck in a ditch or lake), the towing eyelet can be used to tie down and stabilize a canoe, surfboard, mattress or other long item that you are carrying on top of your roof; or in skanDALE's case, probably to tie down and stabilize the car when it was being transported to the dealer.

    Thanks for all the replies!
    I'm not sure if it's a 2007 or 2008. Toyota Norway refuses to admit they have model years, for some reason. They say that the registration year(!) decides what year the car is...

    But I took the trip to my dealer yesterday afternoon, just to have a look at it. I was curious about the wheels that Toyota ships to Norway. These photos are taken with my cellular phone (HTC s710).

    Aren't these the same as the Touring in NA?
    [attachmentid=11658]

    And look at these nice (NOT) hubcaps to put on the alloy wheels:
    [attachmentid=11659]

    I guess thos hubcaps will never be on my car. Anyway, those wheels and tires (Michelin, I'll check what Michelins later) will be stored in my parent garage until spring. The car will be delivered with winter tires on separate wheels.

    So I'm waiting for them to prepare the car for delivery, including installing the alarm I ordered.

    yeah the wheels are the same.

    out of curiosity, why is there a black mark in the second picture behind the rear left wheel (i.e. the right side of the picture) on the bumper?

    I believe that's where the black (oh, what do you call it?) wind diffuser (big word for this) sits. The plastic parts that guides the air from under the car. Those are not on the car during transport.

    By the way, I noticed that the rear wiper on my car is different from the NA ones. This can be lifted up to standing position.

    One thing I wish the Norwegian version had is the thermos for the engine coolant. That would have been nice here in Norway during the winter. Could have avoided a lot of cold engine starts. And there are way to few places where you can plug in an EBH.

    Ohh yeah lol. The rear skirt.. didn't notice it was missing :lol:

    Yeah it is different. I think it's also a bit longer too.

    Your front wipers might be different too. We've noticed a different set on someone else's Prius. Our version has a large, umm, "cover" over the base of the passenger side wiper arm while the other person had normal passenger side wiper arms (i.e it's like your rear wiper, it just has an arm connected to a base and it pivots).
    I hope that made sense.
