OK, so it's a 2007 package 4, so the only voice control is for the phone. When I first paired my Moto V3m and pressed the voice recognition button the wheel, the system prompted me to give a command, and I could dial by number, name etc perfectly.

Yesterday, I was driving and wanted to place a call, so pressed the button. Nothing. No prompt from the voice system at all. I pressed the button again, still nothing. Pressed it briefly, then pressed it and held it for a second or two - nothing.

I was able to dial by pressing the off-hook button and manually selecting a speed dial, so the phone pairing is OK and the system otherwise works.

This morning, same thing. No reaction when pressing the voice button, whether briefly or not. However, if I go into the phone book and edit an entry, I can add a voice tag perfectly OK. When I press the MFD to do that, I get the on-screen and voice prompts I should, and can record and save my tag. Still can't use the voice button to wake the system and give me the option to command the system to dial it though!

One thing I noticed is that when adding the voice tag, on the screen it says 'voice recognition OFF', but I'm not sure if that just means there isn't a voice tag for that entry yet, or that somehow I turned off the whole thing!

I don't see anywhere to turn the voice system on and off, so unless I did something by accident, I'm not sure what might be wrong.

    Any ideas?

Apologies everyone - faulty user syndrome! The voice control works perfectly well - it's me who was missing the essential step of pressing the phone button first!
