Anyone else having problems w/ their visors? I'm finding that the driver's side visor in my '04 is tight enough in it's up/down movement that my efforts to put it up cause the inner hinge to pop out, and the visor to swing to the side.

This could be a combination of the outer hinge being too tight/binding or the inner hinge worn or warped.

Either way, it'll be a dealer/warranty trip. Was just curious if anyone else was experiencing similar issues.

Hey, ... I was noticing that as well (now that the sun is out in full force here in California.)

I can't seem to be able to move the visor up or down without it popping out of its holder.

So, yes..I have the same thing happen to my '04.

It happened to me in the beginning, when I was putting the visor back up. It has never happened when I bring it down. I chalked it up to me being used to my old one where I pulled on it when I brought it down.

I am being more careful now and have not had an issue in a while.

I think the concensus is that it's occuring more when it's hot. It's been unseasonably hot here in CA and given that I got my car in October, it hasn't been in regular heat as much so I wouldn't have noticed.

Everyone that is having a problem with this. Please make sure you go to the dealership and have them see it and fix it if they can. Toyota may have a service bulletin out on this problem with a new part that fixes the visor. If they do not have a service bulletin yet, then by you taking in and having Toyota look at it then you will be voting to have then come up with a fix and also fix then problem right at the assebly line in Japan. If toyota does not know about a problem they would have no reason to find a solution.
