Last night I was sitting in my car with the power pressed once to listen to the radio. I got a fairly strong vibration when something (don't know what it is) came on AND when it went off. NOTHING showed on the MFD as being on.

I also get a vibration when the ICE / EM go off at a stop sign. Also feel it when the ICE kicks in after moving from a stop.

I'm NOT worried. Just wondering if this is normal? And what is going on in the first scenario.

    Thanks

was your foot on the brake when you turned on the car?

The engine is often rough starting or stopping. This seems to be normal. It should be less noticeable if you always have the brake or parking engaged whenever you are stopped.

I didn't "turn the car on", I just turned on the power, one push of the power button with foot off brake, to hear some music while waiting for my daughter at school.

The brake booster pump is electric, that can make a vibration.

Digressing: you probably *do* want to turn the car on in such a situation. If it isn't ON it's too easy to drain the 12V battery using the radio etc.
