Very rough engine sound on 2004 Prius

    Update:
    Problem is the water pump bearing.
    Don't watch the video. Sound is not clear!

    I just noticed that starting Yesterday, the engine sound much rough, that I've never experienced. So I covered Iphone camera lens and recorded that sound with video. Please help me determine the problem and possible solutions.

    The sound is like that the mechanical parts are not lubricated well. I can hear clucking clucking sound.

    What happened to your key problem you had from another thread? What did you do at the end?

    That video is not going to help. It's like someone farting and having someone guess what the sound is.

    I don't hear anything on that video except hiss and a clunk.

    Sorry, the recording not so clear.
    Went to check with mechanics. The noise is from water pump bearing. Will replace it very soon, and share the result.

    I'm afraid it will gone bad very quickly when I drive 100 miles a day.

    can't complain at that age and mileage i suppose. whatever repairs you do will be a lot cheaper than a car payment.
