Very early Gen 1 spotted

    The other day I saw an Aqua Gen 1 that had black bumpers instead of body-colored. Any idea what vintage this would be?

    The ORIGINAL model was right-hand drive only and just a bumper strip was gray, see...

    Lastly, notice the Multi-Display had buttons underneath, since it was not touch-sensitive back then...

    Assuming that this sighting was in the United States, I would say that this was a 2001 - 2003 model year vehicle which had the front and rear bumper covers replaced but not painted to match the body color.
