    Hi all,

I was using a vent clip holder for my phone that cracked the top black cover part of the vent (the thing the red arrows are pointing to). The slider (yellow arrow) also flew off and is missing.

Any idea what these parts are formally called? Where to get replacement parts at a reasonable price to fix this?

Oh, and please don't use vent clips for this reason!

Easiest and cheapest is finding a wrecker that has a Gen3 that lets you pull parts yourself. That way you can practice swapping it out on a wrecked car before you do it on your own car. Beyond that I'm sure Amazon or Ebay will have one for cheap.

They bend and pop in in and out carefully Yes the best thing to do is go find a clunker and grab a few so you have extras using vent clips of the proper type will yield a decent result I personally don't use vent clips as the weight of the phone and the nonsense when you take the phone out makes that vent rattle That's the main reason we don't use vent clips is to avoid the rattles and all the nonsense when the vent clip is not weighted.

You're looking for part number 55670-47070, but getting it from a salvage yard would be your best bet. All you need to do is remove the dashboard and swap out the register assembly.
