I've been testing the SL2Vi in my 2005 Package 4 - Non JBL Radio Prius.
The iPod part works perfectly with my iPhone but because Apple now requires a special chip for the video, that isn't working with the iPhone.

VAIS Tech will soon have another cable that has this chip. I'll report back when I test the new cable.

I was able to borrow a co-workers 5th Gen iPod video during lunch and took the one picture with my iPhone. Interestingly the radio understands a DVD player and that's what the SL2Vi is emulating. I'll post more pictures as I have a chance to take them.

The day I get an iPod kit for the Prius is when they will be able to use audio AND video, both functions able to be controlled from the steering wheel and touchscreen.

That's actually the way it works. The SL2Vi emulates a DVD player and there are video controls over the iPod on the MFD.

I put the SoundLinq into my 07 Prius two days ago, and everything about it was perfect.

I found a PDF here in this forum somewhere (can't remember where now) that had instructions and photos on putting it into the Prius, and without this, it would've been a daunting task.

As it was, the whole process took perhaps 30 minutes at most. The only step that I missed was programming the Vais, which the PDF didn't mention; once I did that, it worked immediately (instructions are in the Vais box).

Yesterday I added a trailer hitch bar, which I found at Coastal (http://www.coastaletech.com); it too went on without a problem. I had to use the included mount strap to pull the tailpipe up a little--without doing that, my car sounded like a pickup truck because the tailpipe was touching the hitch bar. I also highly recommend this mod too--great for my bicycle rack.

Just installed it on my 2008. Video wouldnt work. Vais tech said it was something about the eBrake cable doesnt connect to mdf. and that i would have to send them pix of my set up.

Did u have to do something other then the simple install? cutting cables... not what i want to do..?
