I recently replaced my auxiliary battery after the self diagnostics seemed to indicate that is was bad and after it was tested by an auto parts store without removing it from the car. I learned after this that it needs to be removed from the car to be tested accurately. When I brought the old battery in to get the core charge back (I had already installed the new battery at this point) I had them test it just to make certain that it was bad. It ended up testing at 100% and it looks like I am not able to return the new one for a refund. Is there a market out there for used auxiliary batteries? I know new, they are around $200. Any idea how much they would go for?

I don't this is true. I test with a Solar BA5, battery connected to the car, no problems. The only stipulation is that the tester clamps go directly to the battery posts.

I'm sceptical. How old was it? If 4~5 years, I wouldn't pursue this.
