I'm in the market for a used hybrid and I'm looking at the Prius and the Lexus CT200h. On a Lexus forum it was stated that its best to consider the model years 2015 and newer due to some mid-model updates to the engine (copied here...
2014 saw a revised intake manifold.
    2014 saw revised pistons
2015 saw revised piston ring sets (to protect against oil loss and blow by)
2015 saw revised intake cam gear to reduce rattle on startup

I understand that the CT200h engine is the same engine as the Prius. So does that mean I should look at a 2015 and newer Prius? I'm looking at a 2013 and 2015 Prius this week and wondered if I should favor the base model 2015 or still consider the 2013 Prius Plus (Canadian trim?).

    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

15 would be your best bet, but 2012 -14 are darn good cars. there's no data that i know of, but there may be less egr clogging on the 15.

if you diy, it's not too big a deal.
