I have a KSC-SW11 powered sub. This has its own internal amplifier and is wired like an amp to speaker line. I have I have the sub audio inputs tapped into the front speaker lines directly behind the harness connecting to the head unit. I plan on installing a Alpine Power Pack KTp-445U also connected to speaker line. I plan on connecting the wires for the Power Pack closer to the speakers so the HU signal goes to the sub first before the line is amplified by the Power Pack.

I just wanted to throw the question out there to verify that connecting the power pack won't interfere with the speaker line level going to the sub.

Also if anyone has experience with the power pack- where did you mount the unit? I don't want to drill any holes and am wondering if there's a good hidden place to use the included zip ties for this.

The signal to the speakers is driving a 2 or 4 ohm load (I'm not as familiar with the Prius C's sound system). When your amp taps the speaker line it has ~ 1000 ohm load (or maybe even 10,000 ohms), meaning it will draw about 1/250th of the amount of power as the speaker. For this reason, adding a second tap to the speaker lines should have a negligible effect on the speakers and won't interfere with the sub input. Where you tap off of the speaker wires should have virtually zero effect as the wires themselves will have less than half an ohm impedance, even at 20KHz (the very maximum frequency humans can hear).
