Looking for a trunk liner that covers the entire trunk area as well as the back of the rear seats. Something that will cover the entire area when the rear seats are lowered for cargo. Any suggestions and links appreciated.
PT908-47235-20 You can find it cheaper than the following ebay link, but the listing has great pictures showing the whole kit. 23-25 PRIUS/PRIUS PRIME (WITHOUT SPARE TIRE) ALL WEATHER CARGO LINER OEM TOYOTA | eBay (This doesn't apply to Teez, but anyone else viewing the ebay listing should know that the compatibility list is wrong. This liner will work in a Prius with a spare tire, but it won't work in an LE.)
For just regular stuff, groceries, occasionally suitcases, I find an old blanket works well, much more versatile than a semi-rigid, custom cover. if it’s something more, say firewood, bundled brush or similar, then I’ll spread a tarp that covers the floor and goes up the sidewalls and seat back, with a flap at the back. for brimful pails of chicken manure…, get a truck.
I can see why a slip-mat would be a good idea, if you were sliding cargo in and out regularly. Mine is fine the way it is, I store a few items in the back, including my e-bike, which fits sideways.
Matrix, at least for one generation, had a very sensible hatch floor, a veritable mini cargo van, Dead-flat, plastic, longitudinal runners. Ditto for Pontiac Vibe: ^ Not sure, but could the slots be for some sort ot T-track hold-down system? .
Here’s a photo of my Prime with the Toyota cargo liner that was included with my car. It helps to strengthen the cargo area.
I keep an inexpensive moving blanket in the trunk. It's light and easily foldable when it needs to be deployed or put away.
My 2009 Prius has been kept clean with a tarp over the OEM carpet cargo cover. Even with brimful pails of goat manure. : ) I don’t think the Gen 5 will fit my buckets. Someone else mentioned Tixmat brand mats having great coverage but their cargo mat doesn’t cover the sides. I watched a guy removing pieces of furniture from the back of his car. I was impressed by how he covered everything with basic quilted blankets (mover type) to protect the paint on his bumper. Much better solution than any plastic/rubber strip on the bumper. I only have the acrylic strip on my 2009 and managed to never get any paint chips but the paint quality on the 2009 is much better than Gen 5. Test drove a used white Gen 5 that has a number had several chips in paint. Looked awful showing the black plastic.
