Trip Past Record Resets

    The Trip Past Record monitor resets the history to one entry whenever I press and hold the Display button a little too long. There is no confirmation, it just happens unconditionally. I could not find documentation on this feature in the owner's manual. Is this correct behavior for a gen 3 and why would anyone want to do this?

    I have had problems with this too. I wanted to keep one of the trip things as sort of a lifetime MPG measure but accidentally erased it today. I did read the section on this in the manual but found it clear as mud.

    Same thing happened to me wife playing with settings cleared trip a. I was hoping to use it to save history of miles per gallon. Is there anyway to restore? I have searched every way I can think of.
