TRD Springs installed - with 205/50/17 tires

    9:20am - The Critic is enroute from Monterey as I type this. He has my bargain sale spring, a jack, jack stands and an impact gun. He offered to give me the springs for free if I agreed to run a Romney/Ryan 2012 sticker on my car. I declined and offered to pay for the springs but I would put an NRA sticker on for a discount. :p

    10:00am - I'm going out to the garage to start measuring the wheel well gap and front bumper lip before installing the springs.

    10:43am - Done measuring and found the front tires are 1/4" shorter than the rears due to weight on them despite being 1psi higher. Hmmm

    11:45am - Mike is here with a car full of tools!

    12:10pm - Cowl off, wheels off, removing front strut assembly now.

    12:17pm - Struts are out. Swapping out springs now.

    12:42pm - One strut done. The rental spring compressor gave us fits. Grrr

    1:01pm - 2nd strut done. Re-installing it.

    1:17pm - Front is complete and wow, not much gap once these things settle. :)

    2:30pm - Project Complete. Now going for a test ride!

    Will add pics after we bleed Mike's brakes.

    Oops, front tires may be as much as 3/8" shorter. Mike needs to hurry up and get here so he can help me ensure the marker is straight. No wonder the car has a rake. :p

    I wouldn't know how but it could prove interesting considering my propensity to rush and half-nice person installs whereas Mike is an anal retentive perfectionist. :p

    Doh! I think I hear him pulling up. Don't tell him I said that.

    So are the TRD or Eibach springs a lower drop or they the same? Anyone know the specs for both of them?

    F8L is right......a lot of people say the the TRDs are just relabeled Eibachs
