I have a 2001 with 60K miles used in the NE USA and apparently running normally. At 14 years, I'm concerned about the ongoing condition of the battery. Any help & info greatly appreciated & thanks!

Here's a good read on testing the current condition of your battery:

Predictive battery failure analysis for the Prius Hybrid

Note: I found out by checking my vin number on line that Toyota had replace the battery in my car under warranty in 2009, it tested as new using the above method.
