The more auto makers who increase the number of electrified models, among other benefits, the more charging infrastructure that will be built benefiting Prime drivers. As battery technology continues to improve, the next Prime or whatever electrified car we get will have a battery that is smaller, lighter, greater capacity, maybe cost less.

i think they missed their own deadline.

but seriously folks, but the time toyota has a tesla competitor, tesla will be so far beyond them, catch up will be nigh on impossible.

may i suggest that their is an ulterior motive to articles on 'oilprice.com' about battery advances?

Well, that might take them thousands of years, as bisco has said.

What were they waiting for, before making such a commitment? Maybe, they thought things aren't gonna change, or what?

Let's see how the "arms" race fizzles out.
