toyota to build Auris hybrid in UK-what do you think of the Auris and should it be sold in the US?

    toyota to build Corolla hybrid in UK-what do you think of the Auris and should it be sold in the US?

    For me the Corolla hatchback is my favorite toyota hatchbacks. Recently toyota annouced that it would build a hybrid version in the UK. Now my favorite hatch got even better. :rockon:

    What do you guys think of it and do you think it should be sold here?

    oh and there is a lexus version coming as well!

    I have to admit it looks a lot like the Matrix to me... Is it a better car?

    Nice of you to showcase our Aussie-developed S2000 Corolla Rally Cars....the ones in TRD livery. Thank you.
    Australia is one of the few countries in the World to retain the Corolla name rather than switch to the Auris. Toyota has a medium-size car here named the Aurion, and there would have been too much confusion within the brand.

    Unfortunately, Toyota OZ pulled the pin on factory support of the team after 18 very successful years at the top of the sport here. Budgetary constraints.

    I'm totally confused. Some versions look exactly like a Yaris, others a lot like a Matrix. I'd like a Prius with more cargo capacity but as close to 50 mpg as possible, which model would that be?

    Matrix. The Auris is to Europe what the Matrix is to NA.

    unfortunately here in the US the matrix is very tall compared to the Auris(corolla hatchback). the corolla hatch is about the size of our corolla's and has some pretty big resemblence to the yaris models. i think that it is a good move to put a hybrid powertrain into a corolla especially this hatchback. the prius definately has more room but i'm sure this car would come in at a lower pricepoint.

    True but it can hold more than the Auris.

    it looks like it does, because you have more vertical space as well as about the same space in the horizontal direction.
