Toyota has issued a recall for Prius units for model years 2016-2018 to fix an issue that might cause a fire. It affects Prius units built from sometime in 2015 thru May of 2018. It's a free fix once you get the recall notification.

I'm linking in the first article I found from a Google search on this topic:

Toyota recalls Prius to fix defect that could trigger fires

FYI, I recently leased a 2018 Prius 3 and it has a build date of 04/2018, so I'm definitely affected.

I don't drive that much anymore. In the month I've had it, I've only driven a little over 500 miles. Some days it just sits there all day unused. I just need to be cautious and get to the dealership ASAP after getting the notification. FYI, I checked at Toyota's recall site and there's no fix yet available for my car.

There are 2 previous threads on this started yesterday - they've been amalgamated, I've requested this be added to it.

I wouldn't be overly concerned - it's talking about wearing through, and more likely to be affecting high-mileage cars. Just wait for the recall advice. Consumer Reports describes it "Wiring in the front of the vehicle could wear over time " - particularly seeing yours has only done 500 miles in a month - there are some which have done over 100,000km, and others are almost 3 yrs old.
