One of the few complaints I had about my 2004 Prius was about the AC. You know, always comes on in the recirc mode unless you have the dealer change the default. Well on my new 2007, the AC has memory. It stays where you left it set. I normally just want fresh air (no AC) and before I always had to do the dance to get there.

    Thanks Toyota for listening/reading Priuschat

If only they heard our plaintive cries asking for a "vent" button!

And to make the steering wheel buttons brighter.

And to put a fan speed switch on the steering wheel instead of having to always use the MFD. I could lose the radio volume control on the steering wheel as they already provide that control on the dash as well, and gain a fan speed control.

:) Traded my 2004 for a 2007 Touring Edition... and Toyota has been 'listening' in many ways. Prius owners have been 'upgrading' in several particulars which are now available fron the factory: Arguably better suspension [Touring Edition]; Leather available from the factory; Backup Camera; High-Resolution MFD; 16" wheels with better tires [Bridgestone Turanza]; Textured plastic surfaces on the dash and below windows.

I would favor brighter lights on the steering wheel and window controls, a "MUTE" button for the audio, a "3-D" map on the NAV screen, and a hatch release button up front.

DRLs are standard on the Canadian Prius. They've been mandatory on all cars sold here since 1990.

Well-known for a long time that Toyota reads *all* the forums, but
everything anyone says here gets filtered through the Ponderous And
Measured Japanese Way of doing things, and may or may not show up
directly or indirectly in future products. The downside is that
this generally doesn't allow for a retrofit path.

They're listening? Have they upgraded the seats? No, but they did give us a chrome grill and prettier headlights.

I agree totally here. Mine are very dim and at my advanced age of mid 50's these can not be read. Is there a way to make them brighter or easier to see?

And here I thought they had announced they were releasing a Hybrid Minivan.

Or the next Prius would have side signal mirrors.

Or be available in dark blue.

I want to know what my inside temperature is so I can compare to the outside.
It helps know how high to set the heat verses using fan.

Its hard to tell how close you are to your "favorite" temperature and how soon your goal is about to be met.

A real spare tire, or at the very least, room to install one.

They've done nothing for the Canadian market other than add navigation/bluetooth/backup camera for Cdn$38k. We don't get the leather or alcantara option and no Touring edition either.

I hate the chrome. I'm glad my 2005 has very little.

I hope my future (2009?) Prius has no chrome at all. (Except for the badges and emblems)

A steering wheel that really tilts, not a token version.

    More comfortable front seats.

    Sturdier bumpers.

A non-whining horn. They currently sound like, "whaaaaaaaaaaa get out of my waaaaaaaaay"

Stop disabling the Navigation and Bluetooth features when the Prius is in motion.

Or, at least make it my choice, not Toyota's attornies.

Ship European fenders to the US so we have side marker signal lights. Make the steering wheel lights as bright as the dash lights.
