anyone found a headrest DVD system compatible with the 2012 Prius v (lowercase v for the Prius v wagon)? I need one but don't want to spend $2000...

any direction would be greatly appreciated.

Download Handbrake to your computer, rip DVDs to your computer, buy iPad, put videos on iPad, give to kid. $500 and wayyyy more useful.

I have a Motorola Xoom tablet and have considered using it. FOund a great mount to attach to the headrest, and overall, it's a good idea, but the issue is that I would have to stop to get it to play once the video ran out. I also own a Ford Edge with DVD headrests factory installed, and the ability to simply drop in a DVD, or swap a DVD on the move is a more friendly action.

I'd prefer the Factory Toyota Prius DVD headrest option, but I don't think it exists yet, so I"m still looking.

Another problem would be the safety. I don't want a half a pound metal and glass slab flying towards my kid's head when the mount does not hold. That's the reason I don't use my tablet holder in the car anymore and just ordered a set of dvd-headrest from ebay.

I plan to use sf-cards though, instead of dvd's.

Vizualogic has a few options. (I purchased one headrest system manufactured by them back in late '09, early '10.)
Audiovox seems to have a very new program that seems good.
Myron and Davis seems to have only one color, for Toyota "DK Grey" seats.

I don't know the costs of any of these, but they are options.

This is an older thread but thought I would bring it back to life. I'm also looking into this and am wondering if anyone has found a good solution besides handing the kids a tablet.

We ended up getting a mount that goes on the headrest that allows the iPad to slip securely inside. It worked out nicely on our drive from LA to Albuquerque. I connected the iPad via Bluetooth so we could hear Nemo through the car speakers.
