It doesn't really impact anyone. Basically, it just makes using an adapter even easier. Native ports will likely support plug & play similar to what providers like EVgo do for bZ4X owners already. I have been able to use MagicDock, charging my Toyota at a Tesla Supercharger... in this video.

I appreciate you posting this here. I’ve heard of the BZ4X, but until now hadn’t looked into it. As it happens, I was outside with my neighbor when I saw one parked near the entrance to our neighborhood park. I had no idea what it was until I followed your link. My neighbor has a Tesla Y, so now I have a Toyota for comparison. My big hang-up is trying to figure how I’d do on our drives from Phoenix to Atlanta with the range. I have a hard time visualizing having to stop to charge vs the relatively few 5-minute stops for gas in our 2014 Prius.

Thank you Sir for the demo video. I have held off upgrading to Pruis prime (or equal) until I learned more about the charging process. You helped a great deal. Have a great drive experience.

On long EV drives, you'll do best to get a ride that has a 300 mile range or better. We took our Model X up to Park City Utah, & if it didn't have the range it had? yuck ... it'd be a serious bummer. Here's a pic of the better 1/2 showing off all the bugs on a 750 mile one way trip up there. Not so critical as it was just a couple years ago as more & more Superchargers come on line. The other networks w/ their one-zies / two-zies per location / maybe working or maybe not? No thanks.
