Hmmm... Wash DC ... perhaps a bunch of the NoVA/MD/DC owners would want to go. I'll have to check my schedule, but I'm thinking about it.

Hey, do you guys want to see this display at Hybridfest in July? It would seem like a great fit for our hybrid owner get together!

Maybe PriusChat members could step in and explain some of exhibits if the Toyota workers need a break. :D

Yes, Yes...Must see at Hybridfest. Must touch and feel hybrid stuff.

I wonder if the workers really know their stuff or if they are glorified sales creatures.

As of now, I'm planning on going to the DC Auto Show, so I will definitely check this out. I'll post as many details as I can when I get back from the show.

I attended the highway to the future exhibit today. It is a combination of an interactive room, where you earn points as you learn about hybrid technology, and depending on the no. of points you get a prize at the end of the presentation. The top prize was a regeneerative flashlight. Neat!! The second part of the program is a test drive of any of the Toyota hybrids throught the streets of San Jose. I test drove the Camry....a nice ride. They take your picture at the end, assuming that it might be on their website. Every test driver also gets a free flashlight!

A fun time for me, not as informative as it might be for others as I already own a Pri.

Thanks for the report. I want a flashlight. It's not that I need a flashlight, but I want one.

I also attended the San Jose Auto Show. I was given a personal tour of the Toyota exhibit by Brian of Toyota. Not only does the exhibit cover hybrid technology, but has an emphasis on energy and energy usage.

It is well worth the 20-30 minutes that it takes to go through the exhibit

The regenerative flashlight is a neat give away.

    Regards,

    Keith

I am new to this forum and my next car purchase will be a Prius. It would be great to be able to see this in Madison. I will also be checking out this Hybridfest.
