I want to trailer my prius to get it to the body shop to have some rust spots fixed. Car has a bad knock so that's why I don't want to drive it there. What's the best way to strap the prius to the trailer? Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I see nobody has responded, possibly worried about legal liability advising you. Look underneath the front and rear. You will find the holes put there for shipment by boat from Japan. You will probably have good luck using them. In front the tow hook screws are used on the boat (you can't get at the body from underneath). You'll have to buy an extra tow hook to have two. Compress the suspension a bit when you tie it down and the chains won't come loose on bumps. I've also seen them use "tire straps" that are fitted over the tire.
