Today is the day that the 2016 Prius goes on sale in Japan, so TOM'S Racing is celebrating by releasing photos of two body aero kits in development for the all-new Prius.

    Thoughts?

Haven't seen the Gen 4 enough yet to really make a discerning opinion about a body kit change.
However, those pictures look great to me,- I like it.

But this incarnation of The Prius does seem to look "angry".
The front end almost looks like a scowl or malevolent smile.

My Prius was born out of the Harmony between Man and Nature Era. It's always smiling as it drives past bunnies and swaying cardboard tree's.

I still can't get a lock on how I feel about the back end. And overall I think The Prius looks (and is) longer, and I don't know how I feel about that. I tend to like "smaller" better than larger incarnations.

I like the rear diffuser, but the 4 faux exhaust tips are too much. One real exhaust tip would be fine.

Well we're not gonna sell too many Gen4 shark fins in the PC store. Maybe offer "the whip".

^^ Those rims kind of (key words "kind of", lol) remind me of the ones on the 85/86 Maxima.

It's gonna take me a while to get used to the new design. Too soon I say. I like the kits though.

I Like it's specs and fuel numbers but,,,,I just don't like it's styling.
    Sorry.

Too many body lines and curves. That's a mess to my eyes.
Simple lines are very very appealing with the right design.
The 2000 Corvette is a great example.
    The Audi A8 is another.

Please change the front and back and middle too.

The TRD setup looks like a rally setup (esp. with those wheels).

    I prefer the Modellisa packages.

Yup but they do have a larger car modification culture than North America. I do agree that the accessory catalogue in Canada is pretty weak.

yes, let's add extra weight and extra drag and downforce on an economy car (meticulously designed with as little drag as possible) so we can fool ourselves into thinking it is sporty. brilliant!

    show > go

The big-wing teenie bopper set will think we're cool! And let's pay thousands for this when we could have just bought an actual sporty car in the first place, like an FR-S or a subie.

the poor prius engineers must blow a gasket when they see junk like this.

WALD's kit seems a bit toned down from the other ones. Not bad. Not a fan of the black area in the front spoiler piece.
