    I guess going out of your way to save 5 cents on every gallon of gas you by doesn't really add up if you can go a couple-few weeks between filling up... :)

    I like it. I check it before I need gas, and select the station that I am already driving by that is the cheapest. It ain't rocket science.

    I don't really need it locally as there are two stations (major grocery chains) that beat everyone else 24/7/365 so I just top off whenever I need groceries. I do use gasbuddy when traveling and it works great.

    The powers that set my area's zone prices love to play games with us, changing the neighborhood differentials frequently. While some neighborhoods are usually cheaper than others, pricing patterns do get scrambled, and sometimes even inverted. Gasbuddy helps me spot those situations, so I can learn when my usual favorite stations uncharacteristically end up on the wrong end of the regional spread.

    Its gas price maps have also been extremely useful when traveling, regardless of whether I'm in the Prius or in the gas hog.

    I needed to wash the car today, so I stopped and bought 1.57 gallons of premium gasoline and used the touchless car wash. :)
