I have a slow, persistent leak on D/S front tire. I called my dealer and they said take it to a tire place. I did and the guy said it's not a nail or other puncture but most likely a leak at the rim. Tire guy says take it to dealer.
Q: Will Toyota cover this as the car is new and there has been no incident to cause the leak?

    sorry, car is a V5

If the rim is leaking, it's a warranty issue and the dealer should take care of it for you.

"most likely"? He didn't dunk it in a water tank to confirm?

Even without a tub, I've confirmed bead seal leaks in newly mounted tires by laying the wheel flat on the ground at home and flooding the bead-rim joint with water.

+1 on "most likely". Try another tire place?
