On Saturday I destroyed the passenger side mirror on my Prius in a minor collision with a tree. (Doh!) I almost ordered a new one from the dealer for $282 before I went looking for a used one. I found one for $100 from a recently totaled 2006 Prius by using Car-Part.com and Automotix.net. Car-Part.com searches an enormous database of hundreds of sellers to find your part. I found 15 sellers who had what I was looking for. Automotix.net matches buyers with sellers. I entered what I wanted ($5 fee for "authorized" status) and the emails started arriving immediately - on Easter weekend. I imagine a few dozen more will show up today. In short, within a few hours I had a few dozen options using these sites. So, if you need something for your Prius, chances are you'll find it pretty easily.

Anyway, I get so much useful information here, I thought I'd share a tip myself!
