I've been a proud man-bag carrier for over two years. I've gone through three different styles. I have had a few difficult situations where I wasn't allowed to carry it into a store. I simply stated that women can carry their purses, so I should be able to as well. Most places are accepting. I did have to threaten legal action with one store. The owner was basically a homophobic, redneck a******. He lost a frequent customer because of it. But back on topic, I love my man-bag.

To this woman, men who aren't afraid of to get in touch with or acknowledge their feminine side are much more pleasing than the macho types. After all, we all want someone who knows how to nurture us a bit and that's a rather feminine trait, isn't it?

Not quite a purse, but more than a wallet, I've been carrying this (or a previous, similar one) on its string over my shoulder for years. I don't like having a bulging wallet in my pocket. It's uncomfortable. I see nothing "feminine" in carrying this, but if people see it that way, it's fine with me. I bought it from a fair-trade company which also conducts reality tours to third-world countries, Global Exchange. I think these bags may have been discontinued. It was made in Guatemala. No offense intended by this sweeping generalization, but I think many men tend to travel lighter than a lot of women. Example, wife cannot leave the house without a bottle of water. I just figure I will get water wherever I am or drink some when I get home again. If ever stranded in a desert, the women will more likely have the items that will sufice as survival gear. Many men might prefer to go up one letter in the alphabet and see a cute Nurse rather than a Murse. I would be too afraid that the extra weight on my arm would over time, streach my vocal cords and make my voice higher.

While i see nothing wrong with it, i don't ever think i'll need more than a pocket or two to hold everything, at least on a day to day basis. And if i need more room, thats what a camera bag or backpack is for. After all, not all of us have wallets as big as George Costanza's

naw, it has too much of a liberal look for my tastes. Do you have matching shoes to go along with it?
