If they asked you to jump off a bridge would you do that also? I don't support the terrorists nor do I support the idiot in the White House who got us into this cluster ***k. He is going to dump this mess on the next man or woman to be elected to the Presidency.
The terrorists have all ready won. Their goal was to change america. We are quickly loosing our freedoms to stupid laws that are not being enforced or to stupid laws that are against our constitution.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(FBear @ Feb 19 2007, 03:45 PM) </div> What do you think of President Bush though? I agree, President Clinton got us into it and this thing will not end for another decade or two. Imagine if Clinton pulled the trigger on OBL?? <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(theforce @ Feb 19 2007, 03:56 PM) </div> Quick, name one freedom we had 9/10/2001 that we do not have today? And what laws are you referring to that are against our Constitution?
US Patriot Act. Biggest bunch of BS to ever come from washington dc. There is more but they are not directly related to terrorists. They are mostly related to the retard we currently have in office.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(dbermanmd @ Feb 19 2007, 12:59 PM) </div> The right to be considered innocent until proven guilty. Now, if you are accused of terrorism, you are guilty until you prove yourself innocent, which can be difficult if they hold you without court procedings and/or deny you access to a lawyer.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Stev0 @ Feb 19 2007, 03:30 PM) </div> Too funny. Right up there with Colbert's GREAT or GREATEST ambush question.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(dbermanmd @ Feb 19 2007, 02:59 PM) </div> And why hasn't Bush gone after bin Laden? Talk about flip-flops, first he's our greatest threat, then he doesn't matter, then it's Pakistan's fault for not controlling their border. Not allowing "enemy combatants", even U.S. citizens, access to an attorney or to face their accusers and the facts against them has been mentioned. Another big one is wiretaps without court orders, without knowledge of Congress, and without needing to name specific targets. What was that 4th amendment again? Oh yes, "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." We don't need no stinking Bill of Rights, we trust in Bush 100%. And the next president, who'll need the same powers.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Stev0 @ Feb 19 2007, 03:30 PM) </div> Great poll, Stev0! I support President Bush unquestioningly 100% in everything he's doing to help the terrorists win.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(FBear @ Feb 19 2007, 03:45 PM) </div> Hmmm, seems to be the in thing to do for the past 30 yrs, pass on each others mess onto the next guy for his first 4yrs in office... Oh Im sorry, I do not want to Offend the women on PC by sounding sexist.. What I ment to say was, seems to the in thing to do for the past 30 yrs, is pass on each others mess to the next person for thier first 4yrs in office...
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(theforce @ Feb 19 2007, 02:56 PM) </div> You think the terrorists goal is to change America? What do you mean? I think their goals may be a touch more involved than that.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(dbermanmd @ Feb 19 2007, 04:59 PM) </div> Like I always ask you. Name one thing Bush has done to catch OBL? When they could have had him in Tora Bora they pulled troops out for Iraq and he slipped by. At least Clinton tried and was the closest to get him.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(priusguy04 @ Feb 19 2007, 10:10 PM) </div> you know we're well into the second 4 years, right?
This reminds me of when Bill O'Reilly condescendingly asked David Letterman on The Late Show, "Don't you want the United States to win in Iraq?" It was irritating because rather than letting him have it, Letterman bantered on with him. I remember a time when Letterman wouldn't have put up with s**t like that from a dirtbag like O'Reilly and would have responded with something more appropriate like, "Don't you ever get tired of being a dickhead?"
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(dbermanmd @ Feb 19 2007, 04:59 PM) </div> I'm usually on the same page as you, but not in this case. You can't really blame Clinton.. but you CAN blame Clinton AND every President before him that pandered and catered to the "terrorists". Clinton wasn't the only one that sat idlely by. Bush is the gung-ho mofo that stepped up to the plate to try to do something about it.. I just think he didn't really think it all the way through. and for the Patriot Act.. you've got to admit it pushes the limits of Constitutional, if not completely overstepping. Warrantless wiretaps? Incarceration without represenation? Guilty before proven Innocent? ... and the fact that it was "secretly" written up during the night and passed without scrutinity kind of sets off some bells and whistles too.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(FBear @ Feb 19 2007, 02:45 PM) </div> I agree we should have done nothing like Clinton then raised our children the PC way, so that they wouldn't do anything when attacked and that way our childrens, children could deal with it. nothing personal just seems kinda strange to do nothing and equally strange to believe that you can negotate with terrorist, despots and mass murderers.
