    With regard to they story linked by the OP:

    38 years ago(1975) , the internet did not exist ( what was to evolve into the internet - ARPANET was only available via the military and a few research - university center. ARPANET required a mainframe account and a personal computer/terminal with a dial up modem to access it. It was all text with no graphics).
