Hello Everyone, I have put a deposit on a 2014 Prius v Five. I expect to take delivery this coming week. Has anyone else taken delivery of a 2014 yet? I was looking for any Prius v but my wife is picky about color and interior and softex was a must. Anyway, the selection of 2013 has gotten very thin. I live close to Portland Oregon and contacted a lot of dealers all over Oregon and Washington. They all did searches across the northwest 4 states and could not find what I wanted. The Internet Manager at Royal Moore in Hillsboro was able to do a USA wide search and found my car on the boat coming from Japan. It did not show up for other Northwest dealers because it was headed for Wisconsin. I think the deal I got was good. The price seems to me to be very close to the 2013's, however without the rebates that you can get on the 2013s. Considering that when I sell the car in 3 or 5 or 20 years, it will be considered a year newer, I will get the rebate back at that time. Anyway, I am very happy. Dan
I suspect the other Toyota dealers weren't trying very hard to find the car you want. Oddly, the previous Japan factory assembled Toyota we bought was also headed for Wisconsin and was re-routed to Kansas City via a deal the local dealer made with the Wisconsin dealer. I think you are better off with a 2014 due to it having DRL. I've driven a LOT in heavily forested areas of the Pacific northwest and am of the opinion that daytime running lights are especially important there.
My 2014 Prius v is expected at port Oct 4th, in Newark NJ. They had a small batch arrive already but they had no black Prius v Five in it so mine is on the next ship, or so my dealership claimed. I think they just didn't grab one in the first batch quite frankly but oh well, I can wait 2 more weeks.
Congrats on your purchase! I'm sure you'll be very happy with your v! We're going on 2 years with ours and it's been a perfect vehicle.

The 2014's are probably already here waiting to be unloaded... but the dealer's don't want to talk about them until their 2013 inventory is cleared up.
