    Just a quick thanks to all the members that submit comments and reviews in this forum. I switched from being a very happy life long ford owner to a prius this week. I have been reading all the comments with great interest and even rented a prius in April to make sure the size would be okay. Without all the input I would not have been as knowledgeable as I was in the purchase of my new Prius IV with solar roof. Knowing the problems and great experiences of others made it easy to switch from ford to toyota. I have always been happy with fords but they can not match the hatchback and 50 miles per gallon. In the first 180 miles I am averaging 47.3 MPG

    Congrats Pat!!
    Take pictures.

    If you're averaging 47.3mpg in only the first 180 miles, I can't wait to see what you do once that puppy's broken in (and you too). 50 mpg my hoohah! You'll be at 60 before the Cubs head into the post-season. Unless you're a Sox fan in which case you'll be in the 60s before the Sox choke in the post-season.

    I'm just kidding, of course.
    Seriously, go Cubs!

    Welcome to the side of good.
    Great to see you are enjoying the great consumption of the Prius, and doing so well getting great mileage.
    I have been a Toyota owner for over 25 years and currently own 4. The oldest has the lowest mileage, about 17,000 miles in 41 years, the newest is my 2004 Prius at 120,000km and the highest mileage on a current car is about 300,000KM on the 1984 Corolla. I've had Toyota Corona(1), Crown(4), Tercel(1), Camry(1), Corolla(1), RAV4(1) and Prius(1) and I loved them all!

    Ford do make a fine product too.

    Pat, GREAT POST;

    I also perused this forum for many months, initially out of curiouosity, not REALLY looking to buy a Prius. However, in seeing how helpfull, knowledgeable and curteous each of the responding members were, my wife and I decided that if ALL these individuals were SO enthusiastic about their Prius's, it might be a good time to consider one (oh yeah, the mileage ain't bad either!).

    I have been well received here and virtually EVERYONE has gone out of their way to answer all questions posed to them, many go above and beyond the call to aid a particular member get an answer to their question, by looking up the answer (providing the source material's-Page Number, a specific Paart No. or even a photograph-dipicting a given proceedure).

    I havn't been on but a few forums, but this one is OUTSTANDING, NO bickering, NO flaming...just lots of HELP!!! Anyone interested in owning a Toyota Prius, you've found the PLACE!

    THANKS to EVERYONE!

    David (aka Blind Guy)
