    The Prius C has to engine temperate gage why is that?

    I suspect it is for the same reason that it has no tachometer. That is that engine speed and temperature are not as constant as in other cars and the constantly fluctuating values might give drivers cause for concern.

    In general I don't think cars really need temperature gauges these days because cooling systems are so reliable and effective. They just need a warning indicator that the temperature of the coolant is too high.
