I recently saw a CNBC report (See at end) about EPA testing of electric cars and the 'light came on:'

    • mandatory City cycle
    • mandatory Highway cycle
    • optional High temperature cycle - improved octovalve HVAC and heat pump
    • optional Low temperature cycle - improved octovalve HVAC and heat pump
    • optional Aggressive driving cycle - high regeneration
    • optional lower performance penalty
CNBC only cited the last, 'performance penalty'. But we know Tesla has improved heat management, a heat pump, and always had aggressive regenerative braking. The honorable competition, not so much.
