I don't have my old Xhorse OBD cable. Regardless thought to make sure Techstream would come up. I'm running a PC emulator with Windows 7. Double-click brings it up but I get a message: Version *.**.** Subscription Expiration d h m So I've sent a note to the 03 owner as I thought I gave it to her. I'll do one more pass through my junk boxes but I'm pretty sure I left it with her. 1) Is my copy of TechStream "bricked"? 2) Have more recent TechStream versions blocked running on Windows 7? My understanding is more recent versions of Windows are around $100 (scan of Amazon prices.) That is a little too rich for a freebie fix. So I'm OK with trying the Ts to CG jumper and reading the pulses. Bob Wilson
Have you always run Techstream through the emulator, or did you run it differently before, as in on another machine? Do you have the software key?
Always the emulator. The eBay version, +10 years ago, did not come with a key. Just load and go. Bob Wilson
Interesting. Had a similar issue installing version 10.30.029 on our seasoned XP laptop about 3 years ago. The 31+ digit software key needed to be re-input. I then had to overwrite the Techstream file in the program files which then allowed it to boot up.
Sorry, not Windows 7 but XP. Sounds like a fresh TechStream kit from eBay makes sense and hope it works. Bob Wilson
I have techstream running on both xp and Windows 7, it was very straight forward on 32 bit systems. I don't even remember putting in any sort of key, just install and go
I have 2 versions on my computer now. Older v9.00.026 is the one I prefer using. My netbook running windows 7 didn't like the layout of the newer version. Toyota Techstream__10.10.018_NDSI Toyota Techstream V9.00.026 I tried uploading it but this chat limts the file size, these about 13mb each and it won't allow it.
