How do I take apart my cup holder lid and glove compartment door?

The center console cupholder door and the glove compartment doors are all two piece construction. The outer layer matches the hard plastic of the cars interior and the inside surface is smooth.

Does anyone know how to separate the two halves of the doors. I don't want to start blindly prying because the cupholder lists for over $60 and the glove compartment door can only be bought with the glove compartment attached for about $300.

My goal is to wrap the outer surface of the cupholder door and upper glove compartment with some Di-Noc vinyl and I want top wrap it around the edges of the outside surface so the Di-Noc edges are hidden and secured.

Well I found out the lower glove compartment door was not separable. It was two pieces but glued together.

I manage to insert the door incorrectly after cleaning the air filter. The only way to get it out was to yank. It broke the latches. Had to dremel the backside of the door to fix. I covered the incision with adhesive backed felt.

I've figured out the answer to 1/2 my question.

Remove the center console cupholder by.

Remove the cupholder from the piece it is attached to by removing the 4 Philips headed screws that attach it.

Remove the cupholder cover from the cupholder by removing the 2 screws that attach the cover. (Observe how the spring is installed so you can reinstall it later.) Disconnect the spring and remove the Cover.

The outer skin is attached to the cover by two latch tabs and some internal clips. Gently pry the outer skin off the cover.

Now you should be able to vinyl wrap the cover skin and wrap around the edges in so the vinyl stays attached. The cover skin is polypropylene/polyethylene, so you will need to use the right adhesive primer for a good job. 3M Primer 94 works with Dinoc
