    haven't found any information on timing belts for the new prius
    gasoline engine.... does anyone know if it has a belt that needs to
    be replaced? my '83 camry was changed every 65-70,000 miles.

    That's a shame that the dealer didn't tell you that. That was the biggest positive surprise that came from my dealer when talking about the car.
