Can anyone help me to discover the method used to increase the lighting intensity of the steering wheel controls/buttons???? The dimness preset now is quite useless and theres got to be a way of making it brighter, right???? Any other vehicle Ive owned has this feature but yet, I cant find it on this 09' Prius. What gives, Toyota?????

Why would you take your eyes off the road to look at them? How dangerous!
In the day light take 5 minutes to familiarise yourself with the buttons and how they feel. You will notice up buttons have a bump, down a dimple and other buttons a unique shape. Once you familiarise yourself with the buttons you won't even notice there are lights in the buttons.
Also if you dim your instruments to the minimum it's easier to see out of the car.

They're like stars....the longer you're driving at dark night, the brighter the control icons will glow on you.

Yea, their brightness is not adjustable...but your eyes will adjust to them.
