Post dealership quoting me a new battery and "battery pack sensor" 4000$ to replace. I decided to tackle it myself. Now that I have the battery out, I'm finding all the voltages are within .01 of 7.85. I probably could have gotten away with cleaning the bus bars and changing the battery voltage sensor. I've also discovered that the sensor part number 89892-47020 was discontinued and updated by Toyota. I would wager that's part of the reason for the code P0AFC is the original part is less reliable. I already ordered the lithium upgrade kit. I guess I might as well go ahead and install it.

Wire frame no.2 elso exhibits heavy corrosion which connects directly to the sensor which also shows heavy corrosion on the board.

That battery is due to go out at any time.
Save $$$ for the master cylinder failure coming up soon.
    Then the Headgasket failure.

Let me see if I get this right. You called them the steelership for trying to sell you battery packs you didn't need and then you went ahead and upgraded your battery pack to The more expensive lithium which you didn't need? Lol
